Pastor David & Family
Pastor David Eckstadt and his wife Saundra came to New Life Church in August of 1993. Both were raised as PK's (preacher's kids) giving them a unique insight into the pastoral ministry. They have been married for 21 years and are the proud parents of three daughters; Kristen Love 20, Shauna Leigh 18 and Victoria Lynn 13.
Pastor David was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and his early childhood was spent living in several States as his father, who passed away in 1978, started home mission churches, taught in several bible colleges, evangelized, served as a pastor in: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia, and Ohio. David felt the call of God to minister at the age of 19. This year marks twenty seven years of ministry for him, during this time he has ministered as a youth pastor, evangelist (preaching in 30 different States) and an associate pastor in Birmingham, Alabama for 7 years prior to coming to New Life Church.
Saundra was born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in the south just outside of New Orleans in Covington, Louisiana. Where her father pioneered a church and was a pastor there for many years. She brings her southern charm and many talents which include singing and playing the piano. She serves as music director overseeing the praise team, ensemble and special singing.
She completed her quest to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and recently she received a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development. Both of these degrees came from Webster University in St. Louis. She is currently working at Ameren UE as a Diversity Specialist.
