About Us
Biography
New Life Church was founded over 80 years ago in Waterloo. The name has changed and so has the location. New Life has been at this present location since 1974. It's history is diverse. There have been several changes in recent years as the church has put a greater emphasis on the grace of God and extending that grace to all. It is made up of people from various secular and religious backgrounds.
Building Addition
A 29ft by 36ft
building addition (2088 sq. ft.) was completed in 2007. This addition
includes new restrooms (upstairs and downstairs),
4 classrooms, 2 storage rooms and a janitors' room. The foyer was enlarged, a sound booth
was added in the back of the Auditorium, and the stairs leading to
the downstairs were changed to code making them safer and easier to
navigate. The parking lot will also be expanded in the near future.
A Non-Denominational Church
As a non- denominational church, we seek to reach across denominational barriers and have a part in bringing together the body of Christ. While we are not affiliated with a denomination we recognize and celebrate the work of God in and through many different religious structures. We believe that the local church is the primary way that God chooses to minister in the earth.
Our desire is to lift up Jesus Christ and draw families and individuals to a personal and vibrant relationship with Him.
Our worship is a mixture of scripture songs and traditional hymns which are projected on a screen for all to follow. We believe in allowing for expressive public worship according to the scriptures, this would include standing, clapping of hands, lifting up hands etc. Our preaching and teaching is Bible based and practical for today.
